The Life and Times of the Wagoners

On both sides of my family the adults participate in white elephant exchange at Christmas. This year I have decided to create a family recipe book for one of the gifts. I am gathering family favorite recipes to create the recipe book. Once I complete the book, I plan to make a gift basket with kitchen towels and accessories. I am looking into different websites that offer premade books that you add your favorite recipes into their formats. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help.....

Am I the only mom out there that wished their child/children were motivated enough to do their homework early in the weekend and not procrastinate. I do love and adore my only child, but wish that he would work a little bit harder at improving his attitude about school. Just wondering who else might share my dreams!

My dad's family got together yesterday and took our first family picture that included my grandparents. I really like the way they turned out. My aunt's friend took them at the local park.

We have one more picture from King Tut. I had to give a little background information for this picture. In the Wagoner family we have a little syndrome called "the NO Butt syndrome". Lynda and I were watching this gang walking in front of us and I HAD to take a picture of the NO BUTT GANG! I wished I knew how to blow it up so that you can get the full idea, but I believe you can see enough....

I am on a roll now! First I posted about our trip to see Magic Treehouse Live, and now our King Tut trip.

Yesterday my in-laws took all of us to see King Tut in Dallas. It took two vehicles, Lynda and Eddie had Ty, Dylon, and Kayce; Brandon, LeAnn, Jake, and I went in Eddie's truck, but we all went. We did not purchase tickets before hand, so when I made it there at 12:30ish and started in the line to park right outside the museum, the young man asked if we bought tickets and if not that they were sold out until 2:30. Since parking was $10 he didn't want to take our money because we wouldn't be able to leave and come back without paying another $10 (that would be $20 because we had two vehicles). We turned around and went on down the street, I called Lynda and told her that we would just have the guys drop us off at the door and we would run and buy the tickets. We had a snag in our plans when Dylon and Eddie had to go to the bathroom and could not wait! She said they were going to park on the street (meter parking) and she would call us when they were back. In the meantime, Brandon and I decided to park closer to what we thought was the Dallas Aquarium, and just walk down to the museum. Parking was $6 and we only had to walk 2 1/2 blocks. We met up with Lynda and Eddie where they parked, about a block away from the museum, then we all went together and bought the tickets. Since Eddie had to park at the meter parking and that was restricted to two hours, I, being the wonderful daughter in-law that I am, volunteered to go get the car and drive it down to where we had parked and then walk back to the museum to meet up with them. They decided to meet in the gift shop since we still had almost 2 hours before the 3pm tour. We went to the gift shop and then we sat in the commons area and had something to drink while we waited. We started the tour and about half way through the kids started getting tired, I did mention that we had to wait 2 hours before our tour began. Jake, my 2 year old nephew, crashed in the stroller right before it began, this was a blessing because there was already one little one in the tour that was not happy! We made it out everyone had a great time. Ty loves history so he really did enjoy it. I word of wisdom to anyone planning on going soon, buy your tickets in advance! I am aware that this is Spring Break and that had a lot to do with our delays, but still BUY IN ADVANCE! Again we did enjoy the exhibit!!! I will post pictures when I find my camera cord.....
