Monday was Cinco De Mayo and Ty had been talking about Cinco De Mayo all last week. His Spanish teacher had taught them a song about it. I had an idea to celebrate it and have some friends over. Then I remembered that this was Scout week and Monday nights are our den meetings. So I cancelled it and rescheduled for Tuesday night which was Ty's friend Aspen's birthday. We had it on Tuesday night with tamales, nachos and 7 layer dip, YUM...

My Hutch

When Brandon's grandmother died in January his parents gave us a hutch that they had bought for her. I had told my mother in law that I wanted to paint it an off-white or natural color and put it in my entryway. Brandon was off yesterday and went and bought the paint to paint it for me. I really looks nice. Not off-white or natural but nice. I plan on buying some new hardware to update it a little. I think it is going to turn out very nice. This is the bottom part of the hutch and next week he is going to work on the top part. Thanks Brandon, I LOVE you!

Happy Early Mother's Day!

My mommy and son bought me this beautiful rose bush for my early Mother's Day present. Brandon helped Ty plant it for me.. Isn't is beautiful!!! Thank you mom!! And Ty...

Crafty Night

We had our friends, the Gibson's, over one night and made shirts that I had found in my Family Fun magazine, Love this magazine. The shirts were peace signs and we had the kids paint with red, white and blue for 4th of July. The pictures of the kiddos playing in the backyard are Ty and his neighbor friends.

Aunt Oleta's Last Night- NOT!

My title for this one may be a little confusing but I will tell you what I mean. I had invited my grandparents and my Aunt Oleta over for dinner and games on her last night in Oklahoma. She was leaving the next day to go back to Oregon. Her flight was one of the thousands of American Airline flights that were canceled. She didn't end up leaving until a week later. But we ate and had a great time!!! Love ya, Aunt Oleta

Easter- Part 2

I tried to take a picture of my granny and Aunt Oleta. My grandmother either kept making weird faces or her eyes would close. My Aunt Oleta tried holding my granny's eyes open for her... Very Funny!! Then I couldn't resist sitting on my grandad's lap. He said "LU (thats my nickname), you're not as little as you used to be". Isn't that terrible!!! Then of course I had to take a few shots of my niece, she is just too cute.

Easter- Part 1

Little late but been very busy with school!

We all went out to my mom and dad's house for a big lunch and egg hunt. My grandmother's sister, Aunt Oleta, came in for the month of March and got to come over with granny and grandad. Both set of grandparents and my aunt and her son (the too cool guy on the couch, and my uncle and his family all came over. The kids had such a great time. My nephew, Dakota, even found eggs that we didn't hide.... My mom had put plastic eggs in her flower pots and after all the hunting was finished Dakota found those....
