What Spice Are You

Ok I've been blog hopping.... My friend Steph has lots of blogging friends I on the other hand do not. I have been visiting her friend's blogs and found this.... Take the test and let me know what spice you are. As you can see I'm garlic. This is very amusing to me since I am always complaining to Brandon that he eats to much stinky garlic. I even make him brush his teeth before I will Kiss him, HAHA...

You Are Garlic

Of all the spice types, you are the most universally loved.

You get long with pretty much everyone, and you leave a lasting impression.

You adapt yourself well to situations. You can fit in or stand out, depending on what you're called on to do.

My mom called me last week and said that we had been invited to a family reunion on Sunday. This was not on our side of the family... My granddad's sister-in-law was coming in from Dallas and it was her family. My great uncle died a few years ago and I haven't seen her since the funeral... Sunday after church I go home change my clothes and pick up my dish that I had made for the reunion (I mean if you are going to crash a reunion you must bring food) and then headed to Silo. On the way I called my mom and she said that they were leaving the house (they live in Silo). I drive up and get out of my car with my corn salsa in hand and notice that everyone has a bewildered look on their face as I go by (remember-not my side of the family). I start looking around and my parents and grandparents are not there yet.... I get to the food table and lay my dish down and two ladies approach me (uh, what do I say?) "Hi, I'm LaWanda Luton's granddaughter" and the ladies say "Oh, Yes they should be here shortly, Aunt Shirley is in the house" relieved that I am not going to be escorted off the property I go inside and find my wonderful aunt. A great time was had by all and I meet some very nice people.

BOYS BEING BOYS

My nephew absolutely loves his big cousin Ty. Dakota came over to my house with my parents one night to go out to eat. My uncle had just bought a motorcycle and my dad rides to work with him everyday. My dad's helmet was in the back of his truck and Dakota wanted to show it to Ty. The pictures show what happened next.... They were so funny!!! We were laughing our buns off.

RELAY FOR LIFE

TY AND I HAVE ENJOYED TAKING PART OF RELAY FOR LIFE FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS. THIS YEAR OUR SCOUT PACK WAS INVITED TO TAKE PART IN THE OPENING CEREMONY. VERY PROUD OF OUR KIDS.... THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND EVEN MADE THE DURANT PAPER.... JUST A FEW PICTURES OF THAT PROUD MOMENT..

I am a CryBaby!!

Have you ever found yourself wondering "Where did the time go?", I am sure that most of us have at some point. Well my baby (my one and only) has graduated from elementary school. I sat and listened as his principal said "before you know it you will be graduating from high school", that's when the tears came... They didn't just roll down they flooded my face. I remember holding that wee baby (3lbs 13oz) in my arms and crying just the way I cried at graduation. I can say that I felt that it probably bothered me a little more than most of the other moms but I am sure that all the other moms say the same thing..... Please no hate mail (HaHa); just saying that it was very hard on me... Anyways, here are some pictures from that day. My camera battery went dead right as graduation started. I am hoping that my friend Dottie will email me some that she took of him (hint, hint)....
